We are delighted to invite you to the 5th Asian Pneumococcal Symposium (APS 2025), to be held in Beijing, China, in the late autumn of 2025. As a premier academic event in the field of pneumococcal research in Asia, APS 2025 will bring together leading scientists and clinicians from across the region, including China, Korea, Japan, Singapore, and beyond, to share the latest research achievements and explore new frontiers in pneumococcal diseases.

Since its inception in 2017, APS has served as a dynamic platform for fostering academic exchange and collaboration across countries and disciplines. The symposium has significantly contributed to advancing medical research in Asia, enhancing international visibility, and ultimately supporting the global fight against pneumococcal diseases. Building on the success of previous meetings held in Korea, China, Japan, and Korea again, we are thrilled to host APS 2025 in Beijing, welcoming participants from around the world to join this meaningful event.

The program will feature four key themes, covering a wide spectrum of pneumococcal research and related topics:

Clinical and Therapeutics – Advances in disease diagnosis, antibiotic resistance, and novel drug development;

Public Health – Epidemiology, disease control strategies, and immunization policies;

Vaccine Technology – Innovations in vaccine development and applications;

Basic Scientific Research – Insights into pathogenesis, host-pathogen interactions, bacterial genetics, and fundamental microbiology.
